Call for papers: thematic issue of Ethnologia Polona:
The cultural politics of food and eating in Poland and beyond
Guest editors (issue 41, 2020):
Renata E. Hryciuk, PhD (University of Warsaw, Poland) and Katarzyna Król, PhD candidate (GSSR, Polish Academy of Sciences)
Since the early 2000s critical food studies have become a burgeoning academic field in Poland. In the special issue we want to demonstrate both the thematic scope and theoretical directions present in the works produced by scholars working on Poland, as well as Polish researchers working on other regions. We invite submissions which fit the thematic and territorial scope of the call for papers. We are especially interested in papers that present a clear methodological reflection and those based on original research.

Please submit an abstract of 300 words to the editors at r.hryciuk@uw.edu.pl and a.halemba@uw.edu.pl by January 1st 2020.
The editors will communicate their decision by January 15th 2020. The approx. 6000 words long articles must be written in English. Ethnologia Polona provides the final language editing by professional proofreaders.

Submission of articles: April 17, 2020
Review process: until June 20, 2020
Resubmission: until August 15, 2020
