Ruxandra Ana
Ruxandra Ana , born May 30th 1984 in Brașov, Romania, anthropologist, Latin Americanist, PhD candidate at the received her M.A. from the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Warsaw and from 2015 onwards she is a PhD candidate at the same Institute. From 2011 to 2014, she conducted field work in Cuba, focusing on Havana and Matanzas, looking at contemporary Cuban rumba. Her main research interests include dance anthropology and tourism anthropology, intangible cultural heritage, race and tourism in postcolonial contexts, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean. Her current research focuses on cultural heritage in relation to work practices, entrepreneurship and social change in Cuba.
