Relying on the background in linguistics, sociology and anthropology, I studied collective identities, geographic mobility practices (niche tourism) and leisure. My fieldwork has been among Polish migrants in the UK and US as well as among Vietnamese and Ukrainian migrants in Poland. The project I was involved in most recently is on the media and institutional reactions to the so called refugee crisis in Europe. I have carried out research on urban greenspaces, in Poland and Slovenia, and continue working on migrants' leisure and the good life. My most recent research engagement is an international comparative project "Competing Urgencies: Translating Climate Neutrality in the European Union" (NCN), which looks at the socio-cultural lives of climate urgency in Ljubljana, Klagenfurt and Warsaw.
